It took ten years to do 50 meters!

Brupeg was picked up and the journey began…

She was lowered down into the water. She sat on the mud by about 200-300mm. But that was only at the prop nozzle and rudder so the rest of the boat was floating free but constrained by the slings so she couldn’t go anywhere.

She was fairly empty when we dunked with around 2 tons of fuel in the rear tanks and about 1.5t of water in the front tanks. So she floated around 600-700mm high at the front end and around 300mm high at the back end.

Birk, Dame, Jess, and a couple of the marina guys then started scouting through the boat hunting for leaks… and holy $h!t, we didn’t find any! Not one! After everything we have chopped and changed over the years, 14 new plates in the hull that we have done, skin fittings replaced or deleted, transducers added, and not a single leak that we could find.

So she was hauled back from the water and is sitting in the slings now getting the last dabs of antifoul added to the keel where she sat on blocks for the last decade before she is launched properly at 6:30am tomorrow

It’s been a very good day!

We are here because of you. The support Brupeg has, and the generosity that’s made this day possible is the thing that’s stands out for us. From the bottom of our hearts we are grateful to you. There were quite a few tears shed today.
